Summer Water Photo Activity

This summer you have an opportunity to participate in our worship & preaching theme in a creative new way. The theme is “Refreshing...in the living water of Jesus.” We'll be exploring what this rich biblical image means for our lives, and our hope is that while Pastor Paul is refreshed and renewed by the Lord on his sabbatical we will experience the same thing by the power of the Holy Spirit!

In keeping with the theme, we're looking for inspirational water scenes that are captured by North Creekers on their digital cameras during their summer journey, whether around our Puget Sound home, or around the lakes, rivers, creeks and oceans we encounter on vacation travels.

All appropriate photos will be posted on a picture gallery page on our church website for all to enjoy and be inspired by. Preachers & worship leaders will select some of these photos to show on the video screen during worship services to remind us of the refreshing impact of the living water of Jesus when it flows in our hearts.

Here are the instructions:
  1. Think about the places (near and far) you will go or may go this summer that feature inspiring water scenes.
  2. Keep your camera handy.
  3. Take digital photos of water scenes in God's creation: bodies of water, rivers, streams, waterfalls, etc. Human creations that showcase the properties of water, such as fountains, are okay, too.
  4. Save your digital photo as a JPEG (.jpg); maximum size, 2 MB.
  5. Name the file in the following manner: “description/name - location - your name.jpg”
    • Examples: “swamp creek - bothell wa - Jen Porter.jpg”; “sunset over pacific - long beach wa - kevin james.jpg”
  6. Send it to our web editor Eric Nordlund (one photo per email): ncpc.webeditor@gmail.com

See what we've got so far!
