Since its inception in 2005, our ministry has raised thousands of dollars for humanitarian work around the world and has logged hundreds of community service hours through our Global Outreach Initiative. The Intiative seeks to provide a means for our community to respond faithfully and collectively to the needs of others by providing opportunities for hands-on service and partnership in humanitarian work around the world.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Fundraising
 
It's a reality that we oftentimes forget... money purchases resources, and access to resources can mean the difference between life and death. Recognizing this link between money and resources, one of the facets of the Global Outreach Initiative is to raise money to be donated to partner organizations that are doing good work. Below is a list of ongoing Global Outreach (GO) opportunities that you can invest in to support this work:

ONE DROP CAMPAIGN

Begun in 2009, the ONE DROP campaign is based on a simple premise... without water, we cannot live. Seems like a no brainer, but the reality is that tens of thousands of people die each day because they do not have access to clean water. This ongoing campaign seeks to reverse that... working to insure that everyone has access to clean water.

Donations are collected each week in the special ONE DROP collection pail (located on the stage in the Youth Room). One hundred percent of funds collected in that pail go to this purpose (through World Concern's well digging program).

REAL CHANGE JARS

Through the Youth Ministry Global Outreach Intiative, households are able to turn spare change into life saving resources for people around the world. Pre-labeled collection jars are available to households by contacting the Youth Ministries' Office. When the jar is filled, simply return it to the Youth Ministries office to have it counted, deposited into the fund, and to receive a new jar. Jars can be submitted at anytime during the year.

SUNDAY MORNING CAMPAIGNS

The Sunday Morning Campaigns include student-selected campaigns that last approximately six-weeks and are held throughout the school year. Donations to this fund are made during the Sunday School hour.

Every time you do a web search using GOODSEARCH.COM, or make an online purchase through GOODSHOP.COM, you make a donation to the Global Outreach Fund. Simply visit the sites and enter "North Creek Presbyterian Church" as the organization you are supporting. Then search or make your purchases. It's that easy... and chances are, you are already making purchases from many of the online companies at GOODSHOP.COM.
