God has called me to lead the church toward its missional purpose, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom of God, forming disciples of Jesus Christ & equipping them to take part in Christ’s present, purposeful, & powerful work in the world today.

In addition to pastoral work such as preaching, teaching, visiting the sick, officiating at weddings and memorial services, I equip ministry leaders and lead efforts of outreach and education.

Personal...

Family. I’m in love with my wife Chrystal. We’ve been married 20 years and enjoy our life together – we keep the relationship fresh by going out on regular dates.  Spending time with our two daughters, Grace and Katherine (and their friends) is something we love to do!

Day off. Because of my weekend schedule, Friday’s the day. Pushing the "pause" button for one full 24-hour period and taking time to embrace God’s grace & goodness and the core relationships of my life – can’t get by without it, highly recommend it.

Hobbies. Bicycling, Basketball, Hiking, Urban Walking, Theater, Movies, Music (Hip-Hop to Classical).  Attending my wife's theatrical productions at Northwest University, my daughter Grace's choir concerts and drama performances at Cascade HS, & my daughter Katie's jazz band concerts and volleyball/softball games at Eisenhower MS.

Studies. I recently completed a Doctor of Ministry degree at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.   A challenge, but I absolutely loved it!
