Sunday Morning Worship
A Newcomer's Guide
Considering a visit to North Creek for worship on Sunday morning? We want your first experience to be a good one. Here's a helpful guide:
Before you leave home: You're probably wondering what kind of clothes people wear. Do people dress up or wear something casual? The answer is both. Some dress in suits & ties or dresses; others dress in blue jeans and a t-shirt; most of us are somewhere in between.
Getting to North Creek: [Driving Directions] We have spaces for visitors in our parking lot, directly in front of the main entrance on 164th Street. We encourage you to park there - you'll see the signs that say "visitor parking." Plan on getting to the church campus at least 15 minutes before a service begins. You'll find that there's a person at the door to greet you. When they smile at you and say "welcome," feel free to let them know this is your first time visiting - they'll be able to direct you to the worship sanctuary.
What about my kids? Children sit with their parents as the worship service begins. About 20 minutes into the service, children are invited forward to hear a special message. Following this message, they are invited to go to Sunday School classes. You may escort your children to their age-appropriate classes, and then return to the worship service. After worship is over you head to your children's classrooms to pick them up.
Enjoying the service: A few things you might want to know. Worship services usually last for 1 hour and 15 minutes. A pastor and worship leader will guide the congregation. Pastors wear "normal" clothes except for Communion Sundays and special seasons such as Advent, when they wear traditional robes. We receive the sacrament of communion on the first Sunday of every month. All those who believe in Jesus Christ as Savior are welcome to participate.
After the service: You are invited to come to a welcome reception in our Fireside Room in between our two morning services. There you'll meet people who'll greet you warmly and offer to answer any questions you may have.
We hope to see you soon!
